AI student tutor

Students ask questions in the app while they study and get answers drawn from the notes, slides and readings their teachers have shared, with the source named. When the material does not cover a question, or a student is still stuck, the tutor says so and hands the conversation to a named teacher.

The Old Way Transform My Institution

Where you are today

Holding you back

  1. Doubts arrive after hours

A student revising at 10 p.m. has nobody to ask until the next class, and by then the doubt has become a gap.

    Pain point

  2. Answers from the open internet

Students paste questions into general chatbots and get explanations that do not match what their teacher taught.

    Pain point

  3. Stuck students stay quiet

The student who does not understand rarely says so in class, and the teacher finds out from the test paper.

    Pain point

  4. Revision without a plan

Before an exam, students reread everything evenly instead of spending time on the topics they find hardest.

  • NoneLink between chatbot answers and your syllabus

Answers from the course your teachers taught

The tutor works from the notes, slides, readings and syllabus shared on the student’s own courses. It names the source of each answer, and when the material does not cover a question it says so instead of guessing.

  • Answers drawn from course material teachers have shared, with the source named
  • Only the courses the student is enrolled in, and nothing another student can see
  • A different explanation, a smaller step or a worked example when the first does not land

Stuck students reach a teacher, not a dead end

When a student keeps asking about the same idea, asks something the material does not cover, or asks for a person, the tutor hands the conversation to a named teacher with a short summary. Welfare concerns go straight to the staff you choose.

  • Hand-over to the subject teacher with the conversation and a summary
  • Welfare concerns and complaints passed to a named person, not answered
  • The student told when the teacher has replied

A revision plan built around the student

Before a test, a student can ask for a day-by-day plan. It puts the topics they found hardest first and points to practice from their own course. The plan is a suggestion to follow, change or ignore.

  • Plans built from the test syllabus and the days left before it
  • Topics the student asked about most placed first
  • Practice drawn from quizzes and material already on the course

Frequently asked questions

Get answers to common questions about the student tutor

Is the tutor available at any time?

Whenever the student app is available, unless your institution sets hours for it. A student revising late in the evening gets an answer then, not at the next class.

Will the tutor just give students the answers?

It explains rather than hands over answers to set work. Your institution decides how it treats homework and assessment questions, and it can guide a student through the steps instead of giving a final answer.

How does the tutor know our course content?

Teachers share notes, slides, readings and the syllabus on the course, and the tutor answers from that. It reads only the material for courses the student is enrolled in, and says so when a question falls outside it.

Can it help with mathematics and science problems?

Yes, by working through the steps and pointing to worked examples in the course material. A numerical answer can still be wrong, so students are encouraged to check it against the method their teacher taught, and to ask the teacher when unsure.

How is student data protected?

An agent sees only what the student it serves may see, so it cannot show another student’s marks or fees. Data stays in your region, is never used to train a model, and there is no advertising or behavioural profiling of students.

Can teachers see tutoring conversations?

Teachers see the conversations handed to them, with a summary. Wider access to conversations follows the roles your institution sets, and every access is written to the audit trail.

Does it work in Hindi and other Indian languages?

iVake’s agents already reply in a family’s own language, and the tutor answers in the languages your institution switches on. Answers are only as good as the course material, so material in the language of instruction works best.

What happens if a student raises a personal or welfare concern?

The tutor does not try to counsel. Welfare concerns, complaints and anything your policy marks sensitive go to a named member of staff, as they do for every iVake agent.
