No-code studio

No-code tools for the small processes every department still runs on a spreadsheet: a hostel repair request, a seminar hall booking, an event proposal. Staff set up the form, the steps and the views themselves, on the records iVake already holds, within the rules your administrators set.

  • No credit card required
  • Free 30-day trial
  • Full feature access

The Old Way Transform My Institution

Where you are today

Holding you back

  1. A simple form stuck in the IT queue

Student affairs asks for an event proposal form with one approval step, and waits behind every larger project on the list.

    Pain point

  2. Room allotment in a shared sheet

Several wardens edit the same hostel spreadsheet, a cell is overwritten, and two students are given the same room.

    Pain point

  3. Repairs reported on sticky notes

Problems arrive by text, phone and a note on the door, so nothing shows what is urgent or how long it has waited.

    Pain point

  4. A tool only one person understands

The exam office depends on a home-made database its builder never documented, and that person retires next year.

    Pain point

  • 3+Lists each department keeps for itself
  • MonthsWaiting for a simple form to be built
  • 1Person who knows how the old tool works

Your institution, transformed

Everything connected

  1. Built by the office that needs it

The coordinator lays out the form, its checks and its approval step, and publishes it once an administrator allows.

    Solved

  2. Records instead of copies

The form reads the student, room and staff details iVake already holds, so nobody retypes a name or a hostel block.

    Solved

  3. Every request in view

Requests sit on a board or a calendar by stage, so an urgent repair does not hide behind routine ones.

    Solved

  4. Kept inside the platform

Each app is configuration inside iVake, under the same access rules and audit trail as every other module.

    Solved

  • 1Record every app reads from
  • 0Extra tools or logins
  • SameAccess rules and audit trail as other modules

Build working forms without a development project

Staff who can keep a well-organised spreadsheet can set up a form and its steps. Fields, checks and conditional sections are picked from menus rather than written in code.

  • Fields, validation rules and conditional sections arranged on a visual layout
  • Starting templates for common requests such as bookings, proposals and registrations
  • Conditions that send each request to the right person under your rules

See the same data in the view each person needs

Every app offers more than one view of its records. The office works through a filtered list, the maintenance team follows a board by stage, and bookings sit on a calendar.

  • List views with sorting, filters, grouping and search on any column
  • Boards that show every request by stage at a glance
  • Calendar views for bookings and deadlines, drawn from the app’s own records

Give each department its own toolkit, under one set of rules

The exam office, the hostel, student affairs and the estate office each build what they need. Administrators decide what each app may read, who can publish, and when an app is retired.

  • Department permissions, so each team manages its own apps without seeing others’
  • A well-made app shared with other departments as a template
  • Apps connected to the students, programmes, staff, rooms and fees already in iVake

Frequently asked questions

Get answers to common questions about No-Code Studio

What skills do staff need to build an app?

If someone can build a tidy spreadsheet with drop-down lists and checks, they can build a studio app. Layout, field types and conditions are chosen from menus rather than written. No programming, SQL or web knowledge is needed, and builders are trained on their own screens, like every other role.

How do administrators keep control of what staff build?

Administrators set the rules for every studio app: which records it may read or write, which roles may publish, whether an app needs review before it goes live, and when inactive apps are archived. Apps run inside iVake under the same access rules and audit trail as the standard modules, and an administrator can switch any app off.

Can studio apps use existing student, course, staff and fee data?

Yes, within the permissions set for them. A hostel app can read the student and room already on file, and a booking app can check rooms from the timetable, so nobody retypes information iVake already holds.

What happens to our apps when iVake is upgraded?

Studio apps are stored as configuration rather than custom code, so they carry across version upgrades. Upgrades are part of the subscription and are never charged separately.

Is there a limit on how many apps we can build?

There is no fixed number. We suggest starting with the one or two processes that cause the most chasing today, and adding more once those have settled.

Why not use Google Forms or a shared spreadsheet?

A standalone form or sheet cannot read your student records, check enrolment or apply your access rules, so every response becomes another copy to reconcile. A studio app lives inside iVake, on the same record and under the same permissions as the rest of your data.

Can we reach studio app data through the API?

Yes. The REST API and webhooks cover what iVake stores, and every record can be exported in open formats whenever you ask, including after the contract ends.

  • Cloud, hosted in your region
  • REST API & webhooks
  • SSO: Google, Microsoft & SAML
  • Encrypted, backed up daily
  • Built for the DPDP Act
  • Full security details
