The Old Way Transform My Institution

Where you are today

Holding you back

  1. A server someone has to look after

The LMS runs on a machine in the staff room or a rented server, and upgrades wait for the one person who knows how.

    Pain point

  2. Teaching kept apart from the record

Class lists are uploaded by hand each term, and marks from online work are typed again into the register.

    Pain point

  3. Backups nobody has tested

If the server fails during examinations, nobody is sure which copy is current or how long a restore will take.

    Pain point

  4. A different login for every tool

Students and teachers juggle separate accounts for the LMS, the school app and email, and forget half of them.

    Pain point

  • 2+Places a class list is kept
  • 2+Times online marks are re-entered
  • DaysTo recover from a server failure

Your institution, transformed

Everything connected

  1. Nothing to install or patch

The platform runs in a browser and in the apps, with hosting, backups and version upgrades included.

    Solved

  2. Courses follow the record

Course enrolments come from the student record, so a student who joins or changes section lands in the right course.

    Solved

  3. Backed up in your region

Automated daily backups, point-in-time recovery and a standby database, held in the region your institution is in.

    Solved

  4. Sign in with accounts you have

Staff use Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID or SAML, and parents have one login for every child.

    Solved

  • 0Servers to run on campus
  • 0Class lists uploaded by hand
  • 1Login per family

No servers to buy, patch or back up

A cloud LMS takes the server off your campus and off your IT person’s desk. You get a working platform with your own records in it, and nobody on your side waits for hardware or schedules an upgrade.

  • Runs in a browser on any device, with apps for parents, students and teaching staff
  • Version upgrades included, with release notes and advance notice of planned maintenance
  • Automated daily backups, point-in-time recovery and a standby database with failover

The LMS and the ERP on one student record

Most cloud learning tools stop at the course. Here the course sits on the record the school already keeps, so class lists, marks and attendance do not travel between systems by spreadsheet.

  • Course enrolments follow the student record as students join, leave or change section
  • Marks from online work go into the grade book, which locks on the date and keeps its history
  • Keep Moodle, Google Classroom or Teams & Meet if teachers like them, connected to the same record

Student data held in your region, seen by the right people

Course work is still a student record. It is held in the region your institution is in, reached only through the access you set, and every read and change is written down.

  • Data, documents and backups held in your region: India, the GCC, Southeast Asia or Africa
  • Access by campus, department, programme and role, with financial and health details restricted
  • TLS on every connection, and encrypted storage for documents and backups

Cloud LMS features

Everything teachers need online, without a server on campus

  • Courses & content

Lessons, notes and files organised by programme, subject and section.

  • Assignments

Work set, submitted and marked online, with marks sent to the grade book.

  • Online assessment

Quizzes and tests taken in the browser or the app.

  • Live classes

Google Meet and Microsoft Teams sessions linked to the class.

  • Moodle & Google Classroom

The tools teachers already use, connected to the student record.

  • Hosted in your region

Databases, documents and backups held in the region you are in.

  • Single sign-on

Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID or SAML for staff.

  • Works on weak networks

The teacher app works offline and syncs when the signal returns.

Frequently asked questions

Get answers to common questions about a cloud LMS

What is a cloud-based LMS?

A cloud-based LMS is a learning platform hosted by the provider and used through a browser or an app. The provider runs the servers, backups, security updates and upgrades, so the institution spends its time on courses and students rather than on infrastructure.

Is a cloud LMS safe enough for student data?

It depends on how it is run. iVake holds databases, documents and backups in your own region, encrypts every connection and stored backups, sets access by campus, department and role, and writes every read and change to an audit trail. Under India’s DPDP Act your institution is the Data Fiduciary and iVake acts as a Data Processor on your instructions.

How quickly can we go live?

Roughly four weeks for a school, and six to eight for a university or a group with several campuses. Class lists and staff are imported and reconciled first, so teachers start with their own sections already in place.

We already run Moodle on our own server. Do we have to give it up?

No. Moodle and Google Classroom can stay, connected to the student record, so enrolments and marks meet in one place. If you would rather move off your server, tell us what it holds and we map it during discovery.

What happens if the internet goes down?

The teacher app works offline and syncs when the connection returns, so registers and observations are not lost. Online tests and video lessons need a connection, so schedule them with your network in mind.

How is the cloud LMS priced?

Campus operations are priced per student, per month, with no charge for extra staff logins and a one-time ₹10,000 onboarding fee. Hosting, backups and version upgrades are part of the subscription, not extra lines on the invoice.

Can a cloud LMS handle a large university?

Yes. One system runs with a context per campus, so every campus has its own programmes and calendar while students and staff use the same platform. Universities with several campuses are priced on a custom quote.

Can we host it on our own servers instead?

The standard service is hosted in your region. Where a group requires a private or dedicated deployment, we can quote for it.

  • Cloud, hosted in your region
  • REST API & webhooks
  • SSO: Google, Microsoft & SAML
  • Encrypted, backed up daily
  • Built for the DPDP Act
  • Full security details
