What the IQAC uses through the year
Evidence, attainment and returns from the records departments already keep.
IQAC workspace
Readiness by criterion, with each gap, its owner and its deadline named.
Seminars and activities
Proposal, attendance, report and photographs kept together, filed against the criterion.
CO/PO attainment
Course and programme outcome attainment computed from the live grade book, not at report time.
Publications
Recorded against the teacher when they appear, with the DOI, and linked to the criterion.
Feedback analysis
Curriculum feedback from students, teachers, alumni and employers, filed with the action taken.
Evidence documents
Minutes, MoUs and reports kept on the institution’s record, not a personal drive.
AISHE and university returns
Generated from the student record, so the number you file matches your own system.

Questions IQAC coordinators ask
Evidence, attainment, returns and the changes at NAAC.
Our seminar proof is spread across staff phones. What changes?
Each seminar, NSS activity or guest lecture is recorded when it happens, with its proposal, attendance, report and photographs, and filed against the criterion it evidences. It sits on the institution’s record, so it stays when a teacher retires, and a correction is seen by the department and the IQAC alike.
How is CO/PO attainment worked out?
From the marks in the live grade book. Rubric criteria map to course outcomes, and CO, PO and PSO attainment updates as the term runs, so the figure in your report and the figure in the records are the same number. Course exit survey results can sit alongside for indirect assessment.
Who closes the gaps before a peer team visit?
The IQAC workspace names each gap and its owner. Not “criterion 3 is at 71%”, but which publications are unrecorded and which dean holds them. Each gap has a deadline, and each figure links to the records behind it.
Can iVake help with the AQAR?
It holds what the AQAR draws on: the year’s activities, publications, feedback, progression and attainment, filed by criterion with the evidence attached. Your IQAC still writes and submits the report, but the work is reviewing and writing rather than hunting. Figures export to a spreadsheet or PDF, with dates.
What about AISHE and NIRF data?
AISHE, AICTE, UGC and university returns are generated from the student record, so the number you file matches your own system. The figures NIRF asks about, such as intake, results, placements, higher study and publications, sit on the same records and export to a spreadsheet for your data team.
NAAC is moving to binary accreditation. Should we pause?
No. In its notice of 22 April 2026, NAAC proposed Basic (Binary) Accreditation; it has not launched. Accreditations expiring since 27 January 2024 are extended up to six months after the graded levels launch, and NAAC asks institutions to keep the IQAC working. Evidence by criterion counts under any framework.
Can departments record their own evidence?
Yes. Access is set by campus, department and role, so each department records its own activities, publications and feedback, and the IQAC sees across all of them. Placements, higher study and ventures are recorded as each outcome is known, not surveyed after the batch has left.
