Learning management system (LMS)

An LMS that sits on the student record rather than beside it. Build courses with video, documents and quizzes, enrol whole sections at once, follow each student’s progress and issue certificates, while scores reach the grade book without being typed again.

The Old Way Transform My Institution

Where you are today

Holding you back

  1. Scores copied into the grade book

Teachers upload material in one system, then copy quiz scores and class lists across to another by hand.

    Pain point

  2. Struggling students found too late

A student who stopped opening course material is noticed at the end of the semester, when little can be done.

    Pain point

  3. A different login for everything

Course material, marks and the timetable each sit behind their own password, and students forget which is which.

    Pain point

  4. Courses rebuilt every term

Material set up last year cannot be carried forward, so the same course is assembled again from scratch.

    Pain point

  • 3+Logins a student juggles
  • 2+Times each score is entered
  • WeeksBefore a disengaged student is noticed

Your institution, transformed

Everything connected

  1. Scores go straight to the grade book

Quiz results land on the student record, and class lists come from the sections already set up.

    Solved

  2. Progress seen during the term

Teachers and mentors see who has stopped progressing while there is still time to step in.

    Solved

  3. One login for learning and the record

Courses, marks, attendance and timetable sit behind the same student login, not four separate systems.

    Solved

  4. Courses copied to the next term

A finished course is cloned for a new batch with its structure, material and quizzes intact.

    Solved

  • 1Record for learning and marks
  • 0Scores re-typed into the grade book
  • 1Login for each student

Course delivery that runs once it is set up

Build a course once and use it again. Students work through the material at their own pace while enrolment, progress and certificates follow from the record.

  • Courses divided into modules with video, PDFs, notes and quizzes
  • Free movement between modules, or a required order so nobody skips the groundwork
  • Clone a whole course for the next term, with material and settings included

Progress everyone can see

Students see how far they have come. Teachers see who is falling behind, mentors see who needs a conversation, and heads of department see completion across programmes, all from the same data.

  • A progress bar and the last module opened, so students carry on where they stopped
  • Course views of enrolment, average completion and the modules where students stall
  • Each student’s modules, time spent and scores, for a mentor to act on

Assessments that feed the grade book

Quizzes inside a course are not a separate system. They draw on the institution’s question bank, mark objective answers on submission and send the scores to the grade book.

  • Place a quiz after a video, at the end of a module or before the certificate
  • Draw questions from a shared bank tagged by subject, topic and difficulty
  • Objective questions marked automatically, so teachers mark only the written answers

Frequently asked questions

Get answers to common questions about the LMS

Can we bring content across from another LMS?

Yes, where it has a defined structure. Course outlines, documents and question banks are mapped during onboarding and loaded into a test copy first, so you see the result before anything goes live. If you would rather keep Moodle or Google Classroom, iVake connects to both instead.

How does the LMS connect to student records?

It reads the same record as the rest of iVake. Link a course to a programme, batch or section and its students are enrolled from there, with no class list to import and nothing to keep in step later.

What video formats and hosting are supported?

Videos can be linked from YouTube or Google Drive, or uploaded as files for students to stream, alongside PDFs, notes and slides in the same module.

Can students use courses on their phones?

Yes. Students can watch videos, read material, take quizzes and follow their progress on a phone, alongside their attendance, timetable and results.

How are certificates verified?

Each completion certificate carries a unique code that anyone can check against your institution’s records. Certificate downloads use signed links that expire, so a shared link does not stay open for ever.

Can we sell courses to learners outside the institution?

Yes. Set a price, collect payment through Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree or your bank’s gateway, and access opens once the payment is confirmed. This suits bridge courses, skilling batches and professional development programmes.

What analytics are available?

Course views show enrolment, completion, average progress and ratings, with a drill-down to each student’s modules, scores and time spent. Reports read live records, so there is no overnight wait for figures.

Can we run live classes as well?

Yes. Google Meet and Microsoft Teams sessions can be scheduled and linked inside a course, so live teaching and self-paced material sit together.

What is the difference between an LMS and an ERP?

An LMS is where teaching material, assignments and online assessment live. An ERP or SIS holds the official record: enrolment, attendance, marks and fees. In iVake both work from the same student record, so nothing is exported between them.

Do credits from online courses reach APAAR and ABC?

Where a course carries credits, they are attached to the result on the student record as it is earned, next to the student’s APAAR ID, so depositing them to the Academic Bank of Credits reads from what is already there.
