How a degree college goes live
Roughly four weeks for a single college, and six to eight for a group of colleges or several campuses.
Set up programmes and regulations
Departments, programmes, CBCS credit baskets and each department’s exam pattern, following your university’s scheme or, if you are autonomous, your own.
Bring your records across
Students, fee balances and past results come across from spreadsheets, Tally or your old software, and are checked line by line before you sign off.
Train each office
The admission desk, exam cell, accounts and the IQAC coordinator each learn on their own screens. Every session is recorded for staff on leave.
Go live, exams first
Academics and examinations usually go first, because that is where the pressure is. Admissions and fees follow as each office settles in.

Questions degree colleges ask
Short answers. The demo covers the rest.
Exam forms close on Friday and 212 students are short on attendance. What does iVake show?
A shortage list across every section, read from the attendance already marked. Each student below your threshold is listed for the HOD or principal to decide, and a condonation, such as for a medical absence, is recorded with its reason and approver. The eligible list is ready before the window closes, not built the night before.
Does iVake work for both affiliated and autonomous colleges?
Yes. An affiliated college follows the university’s prescribed curriculum and scheme, and an autonomous college designs its own. Programmes, regulations and batches are settings in both cases.
How does iVake help with NAAC while binary accreditation is only proposed?
NAAC proposed Basic (Binary) Accreditation in its notice of 22 April 2026, but it has not launched. Accreditations expiring since 27 January 2024 are extended up to six months after the graded levels launch. Meanwhile iVake files seminars, publications and progression against their criterion as they happen. Read our guide.
Can it work out SGPA and CGPA under CBCS?
Yes. Credits, elective baskets and the grade scale in your regulations are set up once. Grade points are worked out from the marks in the locked gradebook, so a revaluation changes the result on the record, not in a spreadsheet.
How are APAAR IDs and ABC credits handled?
APAAR is voluntary, and a student or parent may refuse. iVake tracks each student’s APAAR status and records the ID only with consent, checked against DigiLocker documents. Credits attach to results as they are earned, so a deposit to the Academic Bank of Credits reads existing data, with a trail of what was sent.
Can we track scholarships and government reimbursement?
Yes. Each scholarship or reimbursement scheme sits on its own head, apart from tuition, so a utilisation statement is a report you run rather than a workbook. Students pay what they owe from the app by UPI, card or net banking.
How much does iVake cost for a degree college?
The ERP is ₹8 a student a month up to 200 students, ₹7 from 201 to 10,000 and ₹5 above that. Admission management (₹4,999), Training & placement (₹3,999) and Alumni management (₹2,999) are flat monthly add-ons. Onboarding is a one-time ₹10,000, covering migration and training. GST at 18% is extra; quarterly billing saves 5%, yearly 15%.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Try iVake free for 30 days with full feature access and no credit card, at app.ivake.com. If you continue, your first invoice includes the one-time ₹10,000 onboarding.
