The Old Way Transform My Institution

Where you are today

Holding you back

  1. Weekends lost to marking

A teacher with several sections marks a pile of unit tests by hand, then types every score into the register on Monday.

    Pain point

  2. Questions written again each year

Last year’s papers sit in Word files and pen drives, so questions are written again from scratch.

    Pain point

  3. Feedback after the class has moved on

Marks come back days after the test, when the class is already on the next chapter and the moment has passed.

    Pain point

  4. Section comparisons built by hand

When the principal asks how four sections did on the same test, someone merges four spreadsheets to answer.

    Pain point

  • 2+Times each score is written down
  • 3+Spreadsheets to compare sections
  • DaysBefore students see their marks

Your institution, transformed

Everything connected

  1. Marked on submission

Objective questions are scored when the student submits, and the teacher marks only the written answers.

    Solved

  2. A question bank that grows

Questions are saved once, tagged by subject, topic and difficulty, and used again across sections and years.

    Solved

  3. Feedback the same day

Students see their score, the correct answer and your explanation as soon as the quiz closes.

  4. Sections compared in one view

Results for every section that sat the same quiz appear side by side, read from the grade book.

Marking done before the next period

Objective questions are scored the moment a student submits. Teachers review only the longer answers; everything else is already marked, recorded and in the grade book.

  • Multiple choice, true or false, fill in the blank, matching and ordering questions marked automatically
  • Partial marks on multi-answer questions, and negative marking where the test calls for it
  • The correct answer and your explanation shown to students once the quiz closes

A question bank worth more every term

Write a question once, tag it, and use it again in any section or year. The bank grows with the department instead of starting over each session.

  • Filter by subject, topic, difficulty and question type when putting a quiz together
  • Edits keep earlier versions, and each question shows how often it has been used
  • Bulk import from a spreadsheet for questions kept in Word files or another system

Analysis that shows what students learned

See which questions the class found hard, which ones told strong and weak answers apart, and where students spent longest, across sections and terms.

  • Difficulty and discrimination for every question, so a confusing one stands out
  • The spread of scores for the class, showing whether the test matched what was taught
  • Time spent on each question, pointing to the concepts students stalled on

Frequently asked questions

Get answers to common questions about online quizzes

Can students take quizzes on their phones?

Yes. Quizzes work on a phone or tablet as well as a computer. For tests that matter more, you can limit when a quiz can be taken, how many attempts are allowed and whether it must be taken on the campus network.

How do you reduce cheating in online quizzes?

Questions can be drawn at random from a larger pool so neighbours get different papers, answer options can be shuffled, and time and attempt limits apply. The Quiz Anti Cheating feature adds further controls for higher-stakes tests.

Can we import questions from other systems?

Yes. Questions can be imported in bulk from a spreadsheet, with a template for each question type. Question banks from another platform are mapped during onboarding, in the same way as the rest of your data.

How do partial and negative marking work?

On a multi-answer question you can award marks in proportion: three of four correct options earns three quarters of the marks. Fill-in-the-blank questions can accept more than one correct form, numeric answers can allow a range, and wrong answers can carry a deduction you set.

Can some students be given extra time?

Yes. Individual students can be given a longer time limit, for example a student with a disability who is entitled to compensatory time. It is set for that student, without changing the quiz for everyone else.

How are written answers marked?

Short and long answers are marked by the teacher. All responses to a question are shown together, so each one can be scored and commented on in turn, and the marks go to the grade book once saved.

Can we see how each question performed?

Yes. Item analysis shows the share of students who answered each question correctly and whether it separated strong and weak performers, so questions that are too easy, too hard or badly worded stand out.

Do quizzes work inside LMS courses?

Yes. A quiz can sit inside a course module. Passing it marks the module complete and moves the student’s progress on, and the score still goes to the grade book.

Is a changed quiz score traceable?

Yes. Marks keep a full revision history, so any changed score can be traced to the person who changed it, with the previous value and the time.
