See what survey management changes at your institution
Before vs. after adding survey management to iVake
Where you are today
Holding you back
Paper forms counted for weeks
Feedback sheets from the last week of term are typed up over the vacation, and the teacher sees them when the next semester is half over.
Pain point
Years of feedback rebuilt for NAAC
The IQAC is asked for feedback analysis across several years, and staff spend days copying old sheets into a spreadsheet first.
Pain point
Replies from whoever was in class
Feedback depends on who attended the day the forms went round, so the results describe a few students, not the class.
Pain point
One form link for every subject
A single link goes to all students, who type subject and teacher names themselves, so many replies cannot be matched to a course.
Pain point
- 3+Forms and spreadsheets per cycle
- 2+Times responses are re-typed
- WeeksBefore a teacher sees the feedback
Your institution, transformed
Everything connected
Sent from enrolment
Each student gets a form for each subject they are enrolled in, with the course and teacher already filled in.
Solved
Trends ready for the IQAC
Feedback from every cycle stays on the same records, so a multi-year view by programme is a report, not a project.
Solved
Response rates watched live
Heads of department see participation by section while the window is open, and remind the students who have not replied.
Solved
Matched to the right course
Every response is tied to the course and section it is about, so no reply is lost to a typing mistake.
Solved
- 1Set of records behind every survey
- 0Forms re-typed by hand
- Same termFeedback in front of the teacher

Course feedback across the whole institution
Feedback forms go to every enrolled student for every subject when the window opens, without a mailing list or a pile of paper. Heads of department see the results while there is still time to act on them.
- A pre-filled form for each student and subject, generated from current enrolment
- Response rates by department, programme and section while the window is open
- Results to heads of department soon after the window closes
Feedback evidence ready for NAAC and NBA
Accreditation asks for structured feedback on the curriculum from students, teachers, alumni and employers, analysed and acted on. When every cycle sits on the same records, the analysis is a saved report rather than a week of spreadsheets.
- Curriculum feedback from students, teachers, alumni, employers and parents in one place
- Saved reports for multi-year trends by programme, department and batch
- Course exit surveys kept alongside the grade book for outcome attainment
Exit and satisfaction surveys linked to the student record
An exit survey on its own is a pile of comments. Read against the student’s programme, attendance and results, it shows whether students leave for academic, financial or personal reasons, while there is still time to help the next batch.
- Exit responses read alongside programme, attendance and results, by staff you allow
- First-year check-ins at set points, flagged when satisfaction falls between them
- Surveys for particular groups, such as hostel residents or lateral entrants, drawn from the record

Frequently asked questions
Get answers to common questions about survey management
How do students get forms only for the subjects they take?
Forms are generated from enrolment when the window opens: one for each student and each subject they are registered for. A student who dropped an elective does not get its form, and one who changed section gets the form for the new section. There is no separate list to keep in step.
Can feedback be kept anonymous from faculty?
Yes. When a survey is set as anonymous, each response is stored without a link to the student. Faculty see score distributions and comments but not who wrote them. Whether a student has replied is kept apart from what they replied, so reminders reach those who have not without anyone connecting an answer to a name.
Does it cover the stakeholder feedback NAAC asks for?
Curriculum feedback from students, teachers, alumni and employers can be collected, analysed and filed with the action taken against the criterion it evidences, in the IQAC workspace. iVake keeps the underlying responses, so when the manual changes, only the reporting changes.
How is this different from sending a general online form?
A general form needs a student list exported, uploaded and matched back to records afterwards, and the list is out of date by the time the form goes out. In iVake the audience comes from live enrolment and every response is already attached to its course and section, so trend and group reports need no matching.
What question types are there, and can departments add their own?
Rating scales, numeric ratings, single and multiple choice, ranking and open text, with follow-up questions that appear depending on an earlier answer. A common core runs across the institution so results can be compared, and departments add questions for their own subjects without changing the core.
Can the same tool run alumni, parent and staff surveys?
Yes. Any audience iVake can draw from its records can be surveyed: alumni from the directory, parents from the student record, staff from staff records and applicants from admissions. The same reports and exports apply to all of them.
Can survey results support CO/PO attainment for NBA?
Course exit survey results can be kept beside the attainment calculated from the live grade book, for programmes that include indirect assessment in their outcome attainment. How the two are weighted stays your programme’s decision.
