Questions chairmen and trustees ask
Straight answers on money, branches and control.
The bank wants our fee income, and Tally does not match the fee report. What changes?
Every payment posts to the fee ledger under its fee head, and the gateway settlement is matched against that ledger daily. The day book and ledgers go to Tally or Zoho Books from the same ledger, with the reconciliation already done, so the figure you give the bank agrees with your books.
Can one account run every school in our trust?
Yes. Each branch keeps its own classes, fee structure, calendar and admissions team, and the trust office sees one combined view that drills down to school and class. Access is set by campus and role, so each principal sees their own school.
What will I have in hand for a governing body meeting?
Collections against the term’s demand, dues by class and branch, admissions and attendance, read from live records. Each figure links to the records behind it, and reports export to Excel or PDF. A trustee’s access can be limited to institution-level figures, without opening student files.
What does iVake cost?
The ERP is ₹8 per student a month up to 200 students, ₹7 from 201 to 10,000, and ₹5 above 10,000; universities get a custom quote. Admission management (₹4,999), training & placement (₹3,999) and alumni management (₹2,999) are flat monthly add-ons. Onboarding is ₹10,000 once, covering migration and training. GST at 18% is extra. Quarterly billing saves 5%, yearly 15%.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Try iVake free for 30 days with full feature access and no credit card, at app.ivake.com. If you continue, the one-time ₹10,000 onboarding fee is on your first invoice.
Can our correspondent approve concessions before they apply?
Yes. Approval chains are settings, so a concession can go from the principal to the correspondent before it reaches the ledger. The approver sees the student’s fee ledger and existing scholarships on the same screen, and each approval is recorded with the previous value.
How long does it take to go live?
About four weeks for one school, and six to eight for a trust running several schools. One branch goes live first and the rest follow on its settings. Students, staff, past results and fee ledgers are migrated and reconciled before you sign off.
Who controls our data, and can we leave?
Your trust is the Data Fiduciary under the DPDP Act, and iVake processes records on your instructions. Records and backups are held in your region. If you leave, you get a full export of every record and document in open formats, including after the contract ends.
