Best college management software in India
A college is not a big school. It has counselling rounds and a seat matrix, course outcomes that feed an NBA submission, a placement season, and AISHE and AICTE returns to file. Most "campus" software is really school software with a college page. Here is the field, checked against their own sites.
Checked against vendor websites on .
iVake publishes this page. Facts about other products come from those companies' own public pages on the date shown. Corrections to hello@ivake.com.
The college decision turns on a different set of questions than the school one. Does the software do counselling rounds and quotas, or just enquiries? Does it compute CO/PO attainment from the grade book, or leave that to a consultant? Does the NAAC evidence exist before the cycle, and do the AISHE and AICTE returns come from the same records you work in every day?
The short versionOn 18 September 2026, NBA and NIRF were named by none of the nine other products, and NAAC by one — Skolaro, on its college page. iVake is the only one of the ten that publishes counselling rounds and seat matrix, CO/PO attainment for NBA, criterion-wise NAAC evidence, and AISHE and AICTE returns, all from one student record. Skolaro names the statutory reporting; nobody else names the attainment work.
How we compared
- Only the vendor's own website counts. Where a page did not mention something we wrote "not published".
- Judged on college pages, not school pages. A product that sells to both was read on its college pages.
- Entab CampusCare is excluded. Their site did not respond on 18 September 2026.
The field, ranked for a college
| Product | Counselling & seat matrix | NAAC / NBA | AISHE / AICTE | Placement |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| iVake | Yes | NAAC criteria and NBA CO/PO attainment | Generated from the same record | Yes |
| Skolaro | Not published | NAAC on the college page | AICTE and UGC named | Yes, college page |
| Fedena | Not published | Not published | Not published | Yes, add-on |
| OpenEduCat | Not published | General wording, no Indian body | Not published | Yes |
| Classe365 | Not published | Degree Audit; no NAAC/NBA | Not published | Not published |
| Meritto | Admissions, not seat matrix | UGC DEB only | Not published | Not published |
| MyClassboard | Not published | SQAA, a school framework | Not published | Not published |
| Teachmint | Not published | Not published | Not published | Not published |
| Edunext | Schools only | Schools only | Schools only | Schools only |
| Vidyalaya | Not published | Not on product pages | Not published | Not published |
"Not published" means we could not find it on that company's own site on 18 September 2026. Edunext positions itself for schools and only schools, which is why its row reads that way.
What settles it for a college
- Counselling rounds and the seat matrix are not the same as an enquiry form. If the software treats admission as a funnel and not as rounds with quotas, the counselling office runs the rounds by hand.
- CO/PO attainment is the number an NBA submission stands on. Computed from the live grade book, it is a report; rebuilt in a spreadsheet, it is a term.
- The returns and the record must agree. The AISHE enrolment number and the number in your own system should be the same number, because they came from the same record.
Where iVake is not the obvious college's choice
- You only want the statutory wording. Skolaro names AICTE, UGC and NAAC reporting on its college page. If that satisfies the tender, compare both.
- You want a published flat price. Fedena publishes rupee plans and lists placement as an add-on; read their price page against yours.
- You are buying in dollars anyway. Classe365 publishes a dollar price list with a degree-audit module, for institutions comfortable with that.
If you do one thingAsk the vendor to open one NBA course outcome and show the attainment figure, then the grade-book rows behind it. If the number links to nothing, the attainment is a dashboard, not evidence.

The counselling-round workflow, end to end
Admission to a college is not a funnel; it is a series of rounds with rules. A student applies, sits an entrance exam or brings a rank, appears on a merit list, and is allotted a seat in a specific round against a quota — state, management, category, reserved. They accept, upgrade, or wait for the next round. The seat matrix has to stay consistent across every round, because a seat allotted twice is an admission disaster, not a clerical error.
Software that treats this as a funnel — enquiries in, offers out — will allot seats the counselling office then has to unpick by hand. Software built for the workflow holds the seat matrix, the quotas, the merit list with ties handled properly, and the round-by-round allotment on the same record, so the counselling office spends its season counselling rather than reconciling.
CO/PO attainment, from the live grade book
An NBA submission does not ask whether a course was taught well in the abstract. It asks whether students achieved the outcomes the programme promised, measured from the marks they actually got. Course outcomes roll up into programme outcomes, which roll up into programme-specific outcomes, and the attainment figure has to be computable from the grade book — not typed once a year from a consultant's template.
That is the test to take into a demo: open one course outcome, see the attainment figure, and drill into the grade-book rows behind it. A figure that links to records is evidence. A figure that links to nothing is decoration, and it will not survive an NBA peer team that asks to see the working.
The placement season on one record
Placement is the stage where the college's record-keeping meets the outside world: companies, eligibility criteria, offers, acceptances, and where each graduate actually landed. That last record is the number that feeds an NIRF submission and a prospectus — and it is the one most likely to live in a placement officer's spreadsheet. When placement runs on the same record as admission and results, the graduate's journey is continuous, and the ranking figure is a report, not a recollection. Our note is at training and placement.
Frequently asked questions
Which is the best college ERP in India?
On the evidence the vendors publish, iVake is the only one of the ten that publishes counselling rounds and seat matrix, NBA CO/PO attainment, criterion-wise NAAC evidence, and AISHE and AICTE returns from one record. Skolaro names AICTE, UGC and NAAC reporting; Fedena publishes a flat rupee price. The table above sets out the field.
Does iVake compute CO/PO attainment automatically?
Yes. Course and programme outcomes (CO/PO/PSO) are computed from the live grade book, with attainment levels, gaps and actions updating as the term runs — evidence you can drill into, not a typed summary.
Which competitor names NAAC reporting?
Skolaro names AICTE, UGC and NAAC reporting on its college page, the only one of the nine other products to name NAAC. None of the nine names NBA or NIRF.
