iVake vs Teachmint: classroom panels or an office ERP

Schools often put these two on the same shortlist because both were once described as school software. On 18 September 2026 they were selling different things: one a screen for the classroom wall, the other a system for the office. Here is what each publishes.

Checked against vendor websites on .

iVake publishes this comparison. Everything said about Teachmint comes from Teachmint's own public pages on the date shown. If a page has changed since, or we have read it wrongly, write to hello@ivake.com and we will correct it.

Two different budgets are usually on the table. One is capital spending on classroom equipment, approved once, installed by a dealer, covered by a warranty. The other is a yearly subscription for the software your fee counter, exam cell and office run on. Confusing the two is how schools end up with panels on the wall and receipts still being written by hand.

Teachmint's homepage now leads with hardware: an AI-powered connected classroom device (teachmint.com, checked 18 September 2026). The banner claims Teachmint X is “India's #1 IFP brand”, citing DISCIEN for H1 FY26. IFP means interactive flat panel. That is Teachmint's claim and the source they give for it, not ours.

The short versionTeachmint today sells interactive panels and classroom software, through dealers, with a three-year on-site warranty. Its own page says the standalone fee module is gone, and several of its older ERP pages returned errors when we checked. iVake is the office system: admissions, fees, attendance, exams, certificates and returns, priced per student in rupees.

What Teachmint's own site says about its ERP pages

Teachmint publishes a page headed “What Happened to the Fee Management System?” (teachmint.com/features/fee-management-software, checked 18 September 2026). It says the fee management tool helped schools simplify collections and automate payments for years, that schools' needs have changed, and that the company has moved away from the standalone fee module to focus on teaching and learning. We are paraphrasing rather than quoting because the sentence on the live page reads as though a word is missing.

Several older feature pages still linked from Teachmint's own navigation returned HTTP 500 errors when we checked on 18 September 2026: school ERP, school LMS, student attendance management, lesson planning and student performance report. Others load but now show Teachmint X hardware content instead: the admission management page, TeachPay and the NEP 2020 page all rendered panel material.

We are not saying those features no longer exist. We are saying that what is still sold cannot be worked out from the website alone, so any school considering Teachmint for administrative work should ask the vendor in writing what is currently in scope and get it into the contract.

What each one publishes for the office

On Indian administrative and statutory work, UPI, named payment gateways, DigiLocker, APAAR/ABC, UDISE+, NAAC, NBA, NIRF, Tally, WhatsApp integration and SMS DLT registration were all not found on Teachmint's site (checked 18 September 2026). What they do name is a free CBSE result analyser, an NEP 2020 page and multilingual support they describe as 90+ global languages, with Tamil and Telugu rendered on the homepage.

Their classroom AI is published in detail under the name EduAI: Ask Anything, AI Whiteboards, a homework generator, a quiz generator, class recap, a voice assistant and OCR solving, along with Vision X for classroom monitoring, Share X for screen sharing and Click X clickers (teachmint.com, checked 18 September 2026).

On apps, the Teachmint listing on Google Play describes an all-in-one AI learning and teaching app for teachers and students, used for live classes (checked 18 September 2026). A dedicated parent app of the kind a school office uses to send fee dues and attendance alerts was not found on their site (checked 18 September 2026).

When Teachmint is the better choice

If what you actually need is a screen in every classroom, buy the screens. Teachmint publishes Google EDLA certification, Android 16, 4K resolution, sizes from 65 to 86 inches, a three-year on-site warranty, a dealer network with pan-India delivery and service, and public warranty and quotation checkers (teachmint.com, checked 18 September 2026). Those are the things that matter in a hardware tender, and they are all on their site. Their classroom AI tools sit on the same device, so a teacher who wants a quiz or a lesson recap generated in front of the class gets it without another login. A school that has already settled its office software and wants better classrooms is not our comparison to win.

When iVake fits better, and why

Because the work that gets audited happens in the office, not on the wall. Fee heads, instalments, concessions, late fees, receipts at the counter, dues reminders to parents, the day book that goes to Tally or Zoho Books — that is one system in iVake, and Teachmint's own page says its standalone fee module is no longer offered.

The second reason is what the state asks you for. NAAC and NBA evidence by criterion, AISHE/AICTE and university returns, APAAR/ABC recorded with consent because parents may refuse, DigiLocker for certificates, DLT-registered SMS and WhatsApp for messages. None of those were found on Teachmint's site on 18 September 2026.

The third is the budget line. iVake publishes ₹8 per student per month up to 200 students, ₹7 from 201 to 10,000 and ₹5 above that, GST 18% extra, one-time onboarding ₹10,000 including migration and training, with 5% off quarterly and 15% off yearly. Nothing is charged per login. No price appears anywhere on Teachmint's site; the calls to action are to order or book a demo (checked 18 September 2026).

What we cannot tell you

Teachmint publishes no institution count, school count or student count on its current site (checked 18 September 2026), and no data residency statement, so we make none for them. We cannot tell you which ERP features are still sold, because the pages that would say so returned errors on the day we looked — ask them. And iVake has no third-party ratings or awards yet, which is a fair thing to hold against a new name.

Share your fee structure and programmes before the call, or sample data with student names removed. We set them up, so you see your own institution on screen rather than a demo account.

  • 45 minutes, your data. Not a generic tour of features.
  • Migration mapped on the call. We show exactly where your current records land.
  • A written rollout plan within two working days, with phases, owners and dates.
  • No pressure to switch everything at once. Most schools and colleges start with one department or one intake.
