Best school ERP for UDISE+ returns

Every recognised school files UDISE+ data, and every year the rework comes from the same place: the record you copy from does not match the portal. Of the nine other products we checked, none names UDISE+ at all. The winner is the one that keeps the master record clean.

Checked against vendor websites on ; official UDISE+ notices checked on 21 September 2026.

iVake publishes this page. Facts about other products come from those companies' own public pages on the date shown. Corrections to hello@ivake.com.

UDISE+ holds a record for every student in every recognised school, and the Ministry of Education has asked states to finish 2026–27 data entry by 30 September 2026. The job is no longer typing in every child; it is moving last year's students forward correctly and fixing the records that do not match. Which is why the software holding those records matters more than any feature list.

The short versionOn 18 September 2026 we opened the websites of nine other education ERP products. None named UDISE+. iVake does, and more usefully, its student master is built so a name or date of birth is written once and reused, leavers are marked when the TC is issued, and your office can export the exact list to check against the portal. UDISE+ entry and certification still happen on the portal, by your school — what the right software changes is the record you copy from.

"Not published" means we could not find it on that company's own site on 18 September 2026. It is not a statement that the product cannot help with UDISE+ — but if it does, they are not saying so, which is exactly the gap that turns a demo into a bet.

What UDISE+ actually demands of you

  • Progression before new admissions. Existing students are moved forward, not retyped; only children with no record are added fresh.
  • Names and dates of birth that match Aadhaar. Most rework comes from mismatches, students entered twice, and leavers never marked as left.
  • APAAR consent or refusal recorded for each student, with the date and the signed form.
  • A teacher module and a school profile, then certification by the principal or head teacher, who answers for accuracy.

The full order of work, with the 30 September 2026 target and the PEN explained, is in our UDISE+ 2026–27 guide.

Where the software changes the work

UDISE+ carries each student forward, so a name typed wrongly in Class 1 is still wrong in Class 10 and surfaces the day APAAR is generated. The product that wins here is not the one with a "UDISE+ integration" sticker; it is the one where the applicant becomes the student without retyping, the name is written once, leavers are marked when the TC is issued, and near-duplicate records from older software are held for a person to decide instead of merged silently.

iVake's student record is built that way. Your office can pick the fields UDISE+ asks for, group by class and section, and export the list you check against the portal. Staff profiles hold the qualifications and appointment details the teacher module asks for.

What the software does not do

  • It does not file for you. Entry and certification stay on the UDISE+ portal, under your school login. The principal or head teacher still signs.
  • It cannot fix Aadhaar. If the name on Aadhaar and the name in your register differ, that is a correction in your records and with the family, not a feature.
  • It does not move the deadline. Your state or district may set an earlier date than 30 September 2026; follow theirs.

If you do one thingBefore your state's deadline, download the active-student list from the UDISE+ reporting module and compare it with your own register — names, dates of birth, class and section. Every difference you find now is one you will not find during certification.

The four ways UDISE+ goes wrong, and what they cost

Ask any school office that has been through a certification season and the same four failures come up, in the same order.

  • The leaver who never left. A student who moved to another school is still marked "studying" in your system. Their new school cannot import them, the new school raises a release request, and both offices lose an afternoon. The fix is marking the leaver when the TC is issued, not at progression time.
  • The duplicate child. A new admission who already has a PEN is added as a brand-new record, creating a duplicate that then has to be merged or resolved. The fix is importing by PEN and date of birth, and only adding children with no record.
  • The name that does not match Aadhaar. The single largest source of rework, because it only surfaces when APAAR is generated or the child moves school. The fix is writing the Aadhaar name once, at admission, and keeping it as the system's canonical name.
  • The consent never recorded. APAAR needs a parent's consent or refusal with the date and the signed form. When it is not recorded, the office does the asking twice — once on paper, once when the portal demands the answer.

None of these is fixed by the UDISE+ portal itself. The portal is where data is submitted; the errors are made upstream, in the register the school copies from. That is the precise seam where the right software earns its keep.

What "clean master" means in a working week

A clean student master is not a feature name. It is a set of behaviours. The applicant becomes the student without retyping, so a name or date of birth is written once and reused. Each year's enrolment is added to the same file, and every change is logged with who made it and the previous value. When records come across from older software, near-duplicates are held for a person to decide rather than merged silently. And the office can pick the fields UDISE+ asks for, group by class and section, and export the exact list to check against the portal — names, dates of birth, class, section.

Put that against a spreadsheet-and-register workflow and the difference is not cosmetic. It is the difference between certification as a final check and certification as a week of detective work.

Frequently asked questions

Does iVake file UDISE+ for my school?

No. Entry and certification stay on the UDISE+ portal, under your school login, and the principal or head teacher answers for accuracy. What iVake changes is the record you copy from: one clean student master whose names, dates of birth and enrolment match what the portal expects.

What is the UDISE+ 2026–27 deadline?

The Ministry of Education's letter of 14 July 2026 asks states to complete 2026–27 data entry by 30 September 2026. Your state or district may set an earlier date, so follow theirs.

Which comes first, progression or new admissions?

Progression first. Existing students are moved forward, leavers are marked as left, and only children with no record are added fresh. Doing new admissions before progression is how duplicate records are created.
